CU Ulster has an English faculty which is able to offer a range of English language programmes leading to accredited assessment. These courses can be designed and developed with a specific sector context i.e English for the gas and petroleum business or English for banking.
General English language courses are run continuously throughout the year, allowing students to join and exit at any time. However, courses can be delivered on a 1:1 basis as well delivered on employer premises.
All students complete a placement test prior to starting, allowing learning to be personalised and outcomes established.
IELTS is an internationally recognised English language test for study, migration or work purposes. CU Ulster is a British Council recognised training provider and in liaison with the Council can provide testing. CU Ulster is licensed by the Ministry of Education to provide IELTS training and offer both academic and general training.
